Job Summary:
Provide front‑line resource navigation and support to neighbors during core operating hours. Connect individuals with appropriate community resources, offer compassionate support during times of crisis, and document interactions to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate closely with volunteers and the advocacy team to support daily operations within the Welcome Center.
Essential Functions:
- Resource Navigation – Connect neighbors with community resources during scheduled shifts, meeting face‑to‑face with neighbors seeking support. Work collaboratively with volunteers, interns, and advocates during core operating hours while adhering to all established systems, policies, and procedures. Share relevant observations and time‑sensitive resource information with front-line staff.
- Reporting – Provide timely updates to Advocacy regarding neighbor interactions and community developments.
- Intern/Volunteer Support- Supports interns and volunteers with neighbor interactions as needed.
- Welcome Center and Advocacy Collaboration - Liaison/“bridge” between the Advocacy Department and Emergency Services to strengthen neighbor service delivery.

- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrates strong initiative and willingness to ask questions for deeper understanding
- Ability to follow directions, adhere to work rules and procedures, and accept feedback
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED required with a degree in social services preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred
- Bilingual skills required
- This position is on site in Riverview and employee must be available from at least 8am to 2pm, Monday through Friday.
- Availability for possible evening shifts (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
